Growth Sonar makes your routines easier

Raisioaqua brings digital technology and tools to support fish farming. We want to sustainably develop the operations of fish farms, promote our customers’ competitiveness and make everyday routines easier. For this, we have developed Growth Sonar, an easy-to-use smartphone application for the planning of fish feeding and for the monitoring of farming results.

Growth Sonar

Two separate applications

Growth Sonar includes two separate mutually supporting applications. The other one is a comprehensive computer application and the other a convenient mobile application.

Growth Radar is easy to set up. Information on the farm and on its fish is established in the computer application. After the set up, the information is always with you in the mobile application. This way, you can check the data on the biomass and water temperature on your phone whenever necessary. The mobile application gives a daily feeding recommendation in line with Raisioaqua’s feeding tables. You can try our feeding calculator for free by loading Kasvuluotain (Growth sonar) from your app store.

The computer application stores all information on the feeding and fish growth. At the end of the farming season, you can also enter the gutting results in the application. This provides you with data on the feed use and growth results. You will also get an estimate on the yield of your farming activities.

Towards the resource planning system

Growth Sonar is constantly being developed together with fish farmers. Even at the moment, several new features are under development, and the system is rapidly growing to become a comprehensive resource planning system. For more information, please contact Raisioaqua employees.

A good tool with infinite development opportunities

”Growth Sonar was easier to use than I thought. It is easy, quick to set up and the use of pools is simple. With the graphs, we were able to see the difference between our feed dosing and recommended dosing. However, when we analysed the graphs, it raised more questions than gave answers regarding the feeding model that would be right for our farm: would stable feeding be the right solution or should we feed more than recommended? I think the further development of the application makes sense. It is already a good tool but its opportunities are endless. It has been great that our ideas and needs have been taken into account in the development of Growth Radar.”
